dusting off the cobwebs in the heartland

it's that time of year again. we'll be celebrating hermann's hole's third birthday next weekend. the torcano got poured a couple weeks ago and an epic time will be had by all. this year, everyone needs to have a waiver filled out. if you're under 18 and you don't have a parent or guardian with you, you need to get it notarized. for directions and more info, go to http://www.hermannshole.blogspot.com/

on another note, kingshighway and our neighbors to the south, trife street, are featured in the latest issue of sauce.

and as a closer, there's another kingshighway grom clinic this sunday. bring your chicks, bring your kids.

funds raised, new crete poured

the kingshighway bridge benefit was a success. we raised another couple grand for materials.

the contest went off.

drew took first.

goad won the tic tac race.

big big thanks to toast skateboards, azpx skateboards, sacrifice skateboards and equillibrium clothing for donating through showmepools.

the next day we had an appreciation bbq with a hot dog eating contest.

this dude destroyed some dogs.

this week we started spending some of the money raised on turning an existing ledge into a pyramid.

MADE IN THE SHADE

I just want to clear a few things up in case ya'll are confused. "Burnside" is called that because of the street it is located on. "Marginal Way" is the same. ditto for FDR. I dare you to go to Philly and call that concrete masterpiece "Phillyside". I bet Carlos and crew would have an earfull for ya. Which brings me to the youngsters here calling kingshwy "shitside". the new stuff is definitely not shit. The proof is in the pudding boys. This is, after all, the showme state.

if you see a pile of crap in front of "green concrete",that means it's not ready to ride. don't be an idiot and wreck shit. someone prolly busted their asses all night to get it to where it is. really though....
